Recession Cookie, a 60 minute screening program, featuring a selection of new cinema shorts from around the globe; cynical, fantastical and sincere. The Future, an international short film screening series, will be presenting works by Phil Mulloy, Shoval Zohar, Krisma Music, Magnus Aronson, Waverly Films and much more from the U.S., Europe, and the Middle East, as well as featuring the films of Daren Rabinovitch, Mark Osborne, Miranda July and Miguel Arteta presented by McSweeney’s Wholphin DVD Magazine. Gathered and Curetted by Shoval Zohar, Matthew Silver, and Agnes Starczewski.

The Future is here to create a broad-based, public audience for the best unseen international film & video artists. By using ever-more-dynamic media websites as portals for creative exchange, invited artists contribute to an international collaboration of inspiration, criticism, and exposition. The Future pools, curates, and diffuses different, unusual, and from-the-heart works for screenings in different areas of the world. The goal is to reach and gather feedback from a broader, entertainment-seeking audience.
